Just recently bought a new xbox controller connects to my laptop fine with bluetooth. If you re using some kind of non mouse human interface device like a joystick stick hotas or xbox controller especially when also using a device like an n52 nostromo g13 gamepad you may run into trouble getting your primary control device detected and usable in star citizen. Head tracking in star citizen with an iphone and opentrack works for all trackir games without head gears. But as the other said you kinda can t play controller only.

Oldest first newest first most appreciated first. One column two columns sort by. I just changed a couple of buttons for strafing movement to get it how i like it just changed them in advanced settings. The gamepad is miles better than the keyboard so it has become my mainstay.

I don t expect an xbox controller to work the same on a javelin as it does on an m50. Basic flight landing and takoff duration. I use a logitech f710 xbox controller when driving ground vehicles like the tumbril cyclone nox etc. Controller for flying and fighting with just combat flight and keyboard for extra stuff like shields etc and kb m for fps.

I am surprised you have problems hope you get it working. I do own a steering wheel setup as well but that doesn t work well in star citizen yet. I have used a wireless xbox controller for flight only for over a year know and it has been fine. Works with other games except star citizen.

1 point 4 years ago. R flightsim loved the app more responsive than webcam and no load on the pc. Star citizen does not recognise my xbox one controller. Xbox elite controller with rewasd is nice since you get 4 more buttons.

When i m at the main menu the controller won t work but in the options menu it lets me navigate. Heres a crazy situation im having with star citizen attempting to program my controller to work.
